Antrim and New Zealand Occupation: Gardener Died October 24, 1931 at Old Men's Home, Ashburton, New Zealand Buried October 27, 1931 in Ashburton Cemetery. Plot no 1. 14   He went on an assisted emigration scheme to New Zealand costing  £14, 10 pence. He is recorded as being aged 23 and a farm labourer. He arrived at Canterbury, New Zealand on July 21, 1875 on the ship "White Rose"
